Just another Duke-North Carolina classic. This time, though,
there would be no last-minute miracles for the Blue Devils. Brendan
Haywood -- a 48 percent foul shooter -- hit two free throws with 1.2
seconds left as the No.
4 Tar Heels held off No. 2 Duke 85-83, giving North Carolina sole
possession of first place in the ACC. It was the Heels' 15th consecutive
victory, but their first at Cameron Indoor Stadium in five years.
